The complexity and rigor of their curriculum naturally increases each year in order to properly prepare motivated students for the top preparatory high schools and universities in the nation.
Candeo Schools’ mission is to grow wisdom and virtue for a life well lived through rigorous knowledge-based schooling in the classical liberal arts. At Candeo, who students become as a result of what they learn is just as important as what they know.
Students wear uniforms, build classroom camaraderie, and adhere to a defined wellness policy that prohibits junk food, encourages healthy eating, and allows for plenty of fresh air and movement throughout the day. Candeo Schools utilizes the nationally recognized Core Knowledge curriculum so students gain rich knowledge that builds year after year. In addition to studying Mathematics, Science, Geography, World and American History, Language Arts, Grammar, Art, Music, and Physical Education, students also learn French, Latin, Art History, Logic, and Civility. Students study the classics and engage with teachers and classmates in open dialogue (the Socratic Method) and read-alouds.
